We’re here for you as always this bank holiday but please bear with us as we prioritise getting to the most seriously ill patients first. When it’s not an emergency but you need medical help quickly, works in the same way as contacting 111 by phone.

We’re passionate about improving our service for patients who are experiencing a maternity emergency and need our care. We have a small team who are making positive changes to the ways we look after parents and babies. ⬇️ #internationaldayofthemidwife

Did you know, we don’t always take patients to the nearest A&E? If specialist care is required, sometimes a slightly longer journey will get them the right treatment more quickly. This could be a burns or stroke unit, major trauma centre or children’s hospital to name a few.

If you get into difficulty in the water, remember #FloatToLive · Tilt your head back, ears submerged. · Relax, breathe normally. · Move your hands to help you stay afloat. · Spread your arms and legs Once your breathing is controlled, call for help or swim to safety. Video @RNLI

Everything we do is for our patients and when we receive gestures of thanks it means the world. 💚 Cumbria ambulance crew mates Rob, Abbey and Natalie received a lovely #ThankYou homemade duck gift after caring for a patient. 🦆
