Thames Valley Police & Crime Commissioner has called on the public to stand up to shoplifters. Matthew Barber said everyone had a responsibility to help if they witness stealing, and if you stand by then you are "part of the problem". But should the public intervene?.

What has really changed? I'm supporting a Black officer who was stopped in full uniform and asked for his ID, as the officer didn't believe he was a cop, someone else said the 'N' word and got reflective practice .@NBPAUK @PoliceChiefs.
