Bech32 IBC is going to be great..
if someone gives you an address on a certain chain, you can just send to it without worrying about IBC

A personal retrospective on celestia launch
What went well, what didn't go so well, and what to improve for Keplr and Osmosis 👇
Celestia was a bombshell of a launch. After a multiyear bear market, it was refreshing to see metrics fly through the roof. Celestia launch was the…
We just published v5.0.0-rc0 with SDK 0.46.
A second RC will follow (most likely) next week. We will tag it once the
@CosmosSDK
team releases 0.46.1 and we complete some remaining QA testing. You can follow the progress on this milestone.

The reason why $ATOM > $OSMO is because smart money does understand this, and it is VALIDATING the design. Forever and ever, except temporarily before catastrophes will exchange zones be preferred as hubs.
What will happen once AtomOne ICS1.5 AMMs?
What a hub IS we will show.
How to improve the current IBC?
1. Number of ecosystems it connects to
2. A variety of application standards
3. Time it takes relayers to do things (a db layer problem)
4. Relayer economics
5. Any Debug-ability of an IBC workflow
6. Better IBC explorers

New module: Bech32IBC
- Auto-routing of send msgs to addresses on other chains, once configured by governance.
- Allows a bank send on Osmosis to a cosmos1 address, and it is automatically sent to the corresponding Cosmos Hub address over IBC.
Optimistic Execution is landing in the Cosmos SDK ⚡️
Enabling Cosmos SDK chains to build blocks with groundbreaking velocity, pushing the limits of block times and efficiency.
Better performance and faster block production are on the horizon 👇
1/7 Hundreds of millions of Cosmos-native USDC and USDT will be minted over the next six months.
This will be a huge growth catalyst for the entire ecosystem, and will completely change the way people see Cosmos.
Cosmos stablecoins 🧵
Interchain composability allows tokens transferred seamlessly between chains AND between modules on those chains. Users will soon be able to send and specify what to do with those tokens at the destination.
Yeah this is some of the stuff I was talking about the other day and will chat with the team about.
Cosmos keeps proving it has core challenges that don’t currently meet scaling needs.
Berachain could probably port their infra to an Op Rollup, ZK Hyperchain or Polygon CDK with…
Cross-chain validation is not *shared security*
The Goal of *Shared Security* is operate many blockchains with a committee of validators with the same security as the whole.
v5.0.0-rc1 is published.
This release bumps the Cosmos SDK to v0.46.1 and Tendermint to v0.34.21.
You can follow further progress on the v5.0.0 milestone here:
"The way privacy has been built on decentralized systems so far required the user to adopt a specific currency, a new chain, or a newly created dApp in order to get privacy. But what if there was a different, more flexible approach to enabling privacy in decentralized systems…
IBC is not a layer-two scaling protocol: all chains implementing IBC exist on the same "layer", although they may occupy different points in the network topology, and there is not necessarily a single root chain or single validator set
IBC is a general-purpose, chain-agnostic protocol for bidirectional communication between any blockchain. To be part of the discussion, join the IBC Working Group calls, every other Thursday at 3PM UTC.
The next call is on July 11th 👉
Crosschain validator consists of adding some higher levels protocols to added to IBC:
👉🏻 Leader/Follower chains
👉🏻 Registered Validator Pools
👉🏻 Programmable slashing and slashing for faults on other chains
Immediate applications are securing peg zones

Three requirements to implement IBC protocol on any consensus algorithm with any state machine:
1. fast finality,
2. constant-size state commitments,
3. succinct commitment proofs
#Interchain
#Interoperability
IBC is not a sharding protocol: there is no single state machine being split across chains, but rather a diverse set of different state machines on different chains which share some common interfaces
Is Kujira the next big L1, or a passing fad?
We’ll cover:
- How it works
- Pump narrative
- The truth
$KUJI has 5x'd from $0.7 to $3.8 in 30 days.
TVL has grown commensurately from $16m to $94m.
So, how does
@TeamKujira
work?
Kujira is a Cosmos based app-chain focused on…
Please note that both clients on either end of an IBC connection would have to be updated to this version for these types of IBC token transfer tx to function correctly!

Cross chain validation is about bringing the economic relationships of delegator and validators to new chains. There is a strong possibility that the new chain may have lower security for users
ibc-go v3.3.0 and v4.1.0 with a fix for a security vulnerability in the ICA host submodule. If your chain uses ICA host functionality, we recommend to upgrade as soon as possible.
v2.0.0:
- bumps the Cosmos SDK from v0.44.2 to v0.44.3
- bumps Tendermint from v0.34.13 to v0.34.14
- major feature: supports up to uint256 values for token transfer amounts.
