1️⃣ What problem does this update address?. In short, more control for builders:. Many teams that bridge assets over IBC Eureka through @cosmoshub want ownership and control over their ERC20 contracts on Ethereum. The Solidity v2 upgrade allows teams to deploy custom ERC20.

6/ To reconstruct Optimism’s L2 state, the client takes in:. → Finalized Ethereum L1 head.→ L2 block hash/number.→ A pre-image oracle for calldata. It tracks the canonical L2 chain without running a node, using the same ≥1 honest validator assumption as Optimism.

5/ To handle the compute demands of stateless verification, the OP Client runs the full L2 derivation process—as defined in Optimism’s Fault Proof Program—inside a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). It uses finalized Ethereum L1 data as input and deterministically reconstructs.

4/ How does the OP Client work?. It follows IBC's client specification and differs from a typical light client that only verifies headers. Instead, it’s stateless—verifying full block execution, including transactions, with no local state. This design is required because L2.
