Can't believe we tricked the US gov into supporting Ethereum. Ethereum is a platform for uncensorable US dollars, unstoppable trading, and unbreakable privacy. It's far more dangerous to the state than Bitcoin. But the politicians don't realize it. Well done.

L2 thesis is dead. Tether, Stripe, Circle all launching their own L1s to compete with Ethereum. Rollup security guarantees don’t matter when you’re using fiat stablecoins or other RWAs. Because those assets are centralized anyway.

All the Bitcoin catalysts are behind us. ETF, Trump, strategic reserve. Only thing left is the BTC treasury company ponzis. The cycle always begins with fundamentals and ends with ponzis.

No good solution to quantum. All BTC needs to be moved to quantum-proof addresses. But not all BTC is accessible. So you either leave ~3M dead BTC in old addresses and let quantum hackers take it, or you violate property rights and seize this dead BTC. Both are unthinkable.

BTC is still a speculative risk asset, not a safe haven. Because it has two major unsolved problems. 1) Security model.2) Quantum resistance. With so much uncertainty, BTC isn't yet ready to be a true safe haven. This is why I think another brutal bear market is inevitable.

Trump is a top signal. > Topped the memecoin market. > Kind of topped alts, by purchasing so much ETH and Ethereum alts with World Liberty funds. > Now in the process of topping Bitcoin.

As I’ve said before, 2017 and 2021 happened because many serious people thought ETH would flip BTC. Also, there were major innovations. ICOs in ‘17, DeFi and NFTs in ‘21. In 2025, serious people realized ETH couldn’t flip BTC, and there was no real innovation. So no alt-season.

Trump topped memecoins by launching his own. Now he’s topped BTC by raising $2.5B to buy.

I guess I really don’t know much about trading or markets. But I know we’re late in the cycle, there’s too much optimism around Bitcoin, and summer is right around the corner. Cash is your friend.

A lot of optimism baked into crypto prices here. Trump’s company about to spend $2.5B, that Ethereum company about to spend $450M, and FTX users receiving $5B. All these hit in the next few days. But what then?.
