And lastly - I will *always* be there for them in whatever health crisis they are experiencing, to validate that, to hear them out, to educate myself on what the impact is to them, to help in ways I am able. If they want to talk about Covid, we can talk about Covid!.

that attends to their own goals, especially as that is the work I am licensed to do. However, I do act as a referral resource when appropriate for other types of medical care & community, and certainly work with them on empowering them to fight for their health!.

teach clients about Covid or push masking, etc. That is not my role. Yes, I know I work within an imperfect system, in an imperfect profession, but I take the boundaries of my role very seriously, and my frame of work must remain therapeutically appropriate (2/4).

Since my last post surprisingly gained a lot of traction, I just wanted to say my intent in posting it was driven by the despair and isolation I feel in seeing this phenomenon occurring with those I genuinely care for. I've received a few comments suggesting I can somehow (1/4).

it's not my job to convince them otherwise, so I just try to point them in the right direction for advocating for their health. But it's a Sisyphean task. It's hard not to feel profoundly isolated given how steeped I am in the research of what repeat infections may be doing.

I'm a therapist. Nearly every client I have is getting ill over & over. Many are reporting widespread declining wellness. These are smart, bright, curious people. ALL of them are resistant to any mention of COVID. None of them seem able to draw any connections.
