I became politicized as a result of the Iraq War. Extremely depressing to just see the cycle of blood, violence, cruelty just turn and turn with no real opposition. Hard to fight for socialism in the US when its clear the US is the obstacle to dignified human life on this planet.

If AI is the future, if it's so inevitable, why do you care about your pesky colleagues "raging" against it? We're apparently helpless in the face of it, easily replaced by someone willing to "prepare" students for it. So why do you need us to kneel down and lick boots with you?
Faculty raging against AI: are you just openly abdicating your responsibility to prepare students for what's coming? AI is the future. Your anger doesn't change that. It just means your students learn it from someone else--or don't learn it at all. Enrollments will respond.
