Basic science is messy, unpredictable and wild. Trying to conform it to any fixed plan prevents its ability to create discoveries.

Although treatm for TNBC has improved a lot, we still have 2 issues: overtreatm for many (TIL high) pts and no good treatm for substantial group (RCB3 and beyond). This review of my two fabulous PhD stud @LVoorwerk @NKI_nl provides concepts in this area https://t.co/zCpWyETd1D

Overjoyed to see the work of this collaborative and collegial team out in print. Clinical trial matching, drug resistance, rare cancers, cancers w/o drivers: we've only scratched the surface of what can be discovered in @AACR Project GENIE. Onward to 1 million!
Now online in @CD_AACR: AACR Project #GENIE: 100,000 Cases and Beyond by @PughLab, Brady Bernard and colleagues on behalf of the @AACR Project GENIE Consortium, Genomics, and Analysis Working Group https://t.co/d69VueARnb

@FrydmanLab @cncurtis @PetrovADmitri Somatic evolution in cancer is different from germline evolution b/c somatic cells don’t undergo any recombination – they divide only by mitosis. As a result, all the mutations that accumulate in cancer remain completely linked through its entire cell lineage history. (2/11)

Our experience w/GD2 CAR T cells in 4 patients with DIPG/DMG was published today. This work taught us much about how to safely & effectively treat this disease w/CARs. Deeply grateful to patients & families who bravely trusted us as we learned together. https://t.co/QuQrkKbCmn 1/
