@BigBoyler My 92 year old grandmother got hers this lunchtime, then she went back to work in her shop after in Co. Kerry!! I should add, she insists on keeping her shop open, she’s been running it for 70 years, it’s not enforced slave labour in Co. Kerry😁

@louisemcsharry I know. I live in London and the “football’s coming home” culture is just so alarming. The statistics on this are terrifying. DV incidents rise by almost 40% when England lose.

@MichaelWarbur17 An incredible scene from a masterpiece of cinema but it always makes me think of Noël Coward’s infamous quip about Peter O’Toole…if he had been any prettier it would have been Florence of Arabia! That said, outstanding performances from both gentlemen

@StephenMcGann Exactly!!! Why is it even a question for men, “will you be changing nappies”?? Thankfully all the dads I know see it as part & parcel of having a baby! Women have noses too, they don’t particularly relish changing nappies either. Thank you @StephenMcGann for normalising this

@BeatriceLibDem @mikegalsworthy How is it condescending to retweet an unedited video of what these ladies are saying?? You’re drawing your own inferences from this. I think it just displays the fact that this was far too complex an issue to be left to a simple yes/no vote that many people didn’t understand.

@fesshole I woke up from brain surgery and I honestly thought I was a member of the Von Trapps from the Sound of Music. When the nurse was asking about my pain levels, I started answering her in German. She was genuinely concerned I’d had a stroke until she realised I was speaking German

@sophiegrenham It’s worth checking out the book “Invisible Women: Exposing Data Bias in a World Designed for Men” it explains that part of the reason is not only do men’s toilets generally have the same amount of cubicles as ladies, they also have urinals, effectively doubling capacity.
