who cares. why does there need to be a "plan". over time they become scarcer. POS systems start rounding for cash transactions automatically. none of this needs a formal strategy or plan. literally the last thing anyone should be worrying about.

This is average, not median age, but the New York Fed finds that first-time homebuyers were *younger* in 2024 than in the 2000s. Haven't gotten older on average in nearly 20 years. h/t @MosesSternstein

i have come around on voter ID. in fact, i think you should have to show a passport to vote in the US. i think we can all get behind this proposal.

I suggest we start randomly caning politicians until the time to approve construction projects drops below the amount of time it took to build the empire state building.
Mayor Adams’ misleading ballot proposals 2 & 3 claim to “fast-track” housing but they don't fix the source of delays: 700+ days of agency reviews. Instead, they just remove our democratic vote and review, which is *65 days* max. That’s not a fast-track.
