I am down with rent control being ruled an unconstitutional taking, so long as we also rule that Euclid was wrongly decided and that zoning is an unconstitutional taking as well.
You're not supposed to admit it out loud, but the courts tossing out rent stabilization would be a boon to the million NYC households already paying market rate rents, with tons of units becoming available for the first time in decades to folks lacking connections.
