friend of a friend started a company that makes extremely soft and thick dental floss. 500 woven fibers, doesn't feel sharp at all, so thick it doesn't break in tight spots, more surface area cleaned per stroke. highly recommend if normal floss isn't a great experience for you

this reminds me very much of the 2010s comments about the musk companies-which have broadly delivered all their crazy promises (FSD robotaxis, abundant consumer grade EVs, incredibly cheap tonnage to orbit, etc.) it's in the nature of technologists to be optimistic on timelines.
