Let’s take this out in the open, @realRyanHolman , we wouldn’t want your followers to miss out on your casual misogyny and your callous dismissal of women’s well-founded fear of male violence. I don’t hate members of the opposite sex regardless of their ‘gender identity’, unlike

@Joannechocolat Go ahead. Please challenge our belief that sex sometimes matters. But with arguments please. Why is it fine and dandy for you to divide humanity into ‘cis’ and ‘trans’ but if we find it meaningful to distinguish between female and male people it’s worthy of death threats?

@narindertweets Because ‘she’ is the pronoun for female people and Eddie is male. It’s not kind to women to pretend that men are female. It leads to men in women’s sports and spaces and rapists in women’s prisons.

@HeatherParryUK ..or as ‘human without male genitals’ as if we weren’t complete and complex humans in our own right. We’re not ‘man minus’, ‘modified male’, or ‘human with breasts and hole between the legs’. We’re not a ladybrain or womanly feeling but people of the female sex >>

How is it justifiable to have sporting categories based on attributes that have no impact on our athletic ability? If we have marathon categories by ‘gender identity’ then why not by star sign? Favourite colour? Political persuasion? In each category male, able-bodied, 18-39

@transscribe Sure, no problem. As long as the male-sexed ones among them leave women’s words, sports and spaces alone, deal.

@i_heart__bikes Is it the one with the man-height, man-hips, man-hands, man-face and male athletic advantage?

Either we don’t need women’s categories at all or entering ladymen in them is unfair. Pick one or the other, or explain why we should have separate sports categories by ‘gender identity’ but not by star sign, favourite colour or political persuasion.

@coachblade @UCI_cycling I wonder whether he has ever asked himself why there are no women competing in the open category.. Of course he has. He knows what he’s doing.
