John, I understand this is difficult for you to grasp, but I'd like you to contemplate the possibility that the most important thing about women's definition in law might not be men's feelings.
The fact the court failed to hear the voice of a single trans person may help.explain why today’s decision lacked humanity & fairness & instead replaced them with a narrow definition of the Equality Act. There has to be a better & empathetic way forward that respects trans rights.

I'm sorry, didn't you just intervene in a Supreme Court case for the purpose of asserting men's interests over women's?. I think I'll get my advice on resisting patriarchal oppression elsewhere thanks.
The past year has presented a bleak future for many women and girls amid attacks on gender equality. Women’s rights cannot continue to be under assault like this. Join us to fight for gender equality for all women, everywhere. Our annual report on the state of the world’s human

We have heard their voices very loudly for well over a decade. Their voice has said:. 'Women must be erased in law and they should lose all rights to spaces and resources of their own. There must be no word for the class of female people that excludes males, they should not be.
🏳️⚧️ I attended today’s Trans+ Solidarity briefing in Parliament. 🗣️ Trans voices must be heard. Their rights are being debated, yet too often they’re left out of the discussion. 🤝 I’m proud to stand with the trans community in the fight for dignity, equality and inclusion.

@TheLancet We're not 'offended.' We're angry with you colluding with the political erasure of women. Especially in a context when you are supposed to be rectifying that historic erasure.

@NadiaWhittomeMP Nadia, you put men in women's rape crisis centres. Don't you dare tell us there is no benefit to women of making sure that is over.

The President of the United States just erased female people and their sex based rights from US law. Possibly without even fully grasping the magnitude of what he has done. I think twitter should make some noise and let him know. #BidenErasedWomen.
We are appalled by @potus’s executive order erasing the sex-based rights of women and girls. It deals a severe blow to women and girls in sport, prisons, rape shelters, hospitals etc and bans lesbians and gays from having our own spaces. We will help our US friends to oppose it.

I am a member of the Labour Party. I believe mammals are sexed male and female. I believe that female people are subject to sex-based oppression and that sex is politically important. #ExpelMe .#TwoPlusTwoEqualsFour.

@ACLU Would you like to explain why 'alternative facts' are a threat to democracy when Trump does it but totally fine and in no way terrifying when they come from CIVIL LIBERTIES organisations?.

The fact that women cannot meet together to discuss the preservation of their *current rights in law* tells us everything about what this 'civil rights' movement is about, and who is its target.
Protestors are now outside the Mechanics Institute where the Woman’s Place UK group are holding a conference on ‘single-sex provision in policy and law’. @MENnewsdesk

@ASPBristol You allowed women to be surrounded and violently intimidated by males wearing masks, and then allowed the TRAs to follow the women and barricade the entrance to the pub they were in. This is one of your officers smirking while women are being intimidated by men. Shame on you.

We do not accept that woman and man are gender categories. Our entire position is that they are sex categories. None of you have once, ever, produced an argument about *why* we should accept that they are gender categorites and not sex categories. You have never even produced a.
@shularises @sally_hines @Gender_Journal Gender isn't just gendered norms/stereotypes though is it? This is simply intellectual sleight of hand. Woman and man are gender categories. What your movement attempts to do is recast gender as "sex" even though social gender categories do not map directly to reproductive sex.

Female people exist. Female people are oppressed b/c they are female. Female people have a right to name their own oppression. Erasing female people, and trying to coerce female people into complying with that erasure, is patriarchy in its purest form. #IStandWithJKRowling.

I hate wearing dresses. I am not remotely submissive. I am quite caring. But no more so than many decent men I know. I am female because I am biologically female. That is literally it.
@jk_rowling @sally_hines @CantProgAll If you like wearing dresses and being caring and submissive, there’s a good chance your gender identity is female. Is there not?.

@PhilipPullman The transphobes are people worried about gnc and gay and traumatised kids sterilising themselves on the basis of a faith-based non-empirical belief in inner gender souls. 'Cold eyed evil.' You foolish virtue-signalling prat.

Women are also human beings. And nobody gave a toss about the level of vitriol and hatred and us being sacked from our jobs and having to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds to stop you all giving away our protected characteristic in law because you decided that half the.
I am really saddened by the level of vitriol and hatred being directed toward the trans community. We are losing our common humanity. How hard is it to treat people with kindness and respect? . Trans people are human beings — and they deserve to live in dignity.

@stellacreasy @bindelj @justice4women @RosieDuffield1 circumstances that's not possible, because women's concern to be polite has been so massively leveraged against them to try and destroy our existence as a sex based political class, and the rights afforded to us on that basis. You couldn't have done more to prove them right.

The doggedness of your ignorance is staggering. If men like you had not been so complacent and sneering about the actual issues and harms here and listened to left wing women with years of union organising behind them and their incredibly well researched and argued case, you.
One day we’ll wake up from this online nightmare and wonder why radical feminists ended up cosying up to the far right because of the supposed threat from (checks notes) 0.25% of the UK population.

If they considered the female body an inferior version of the male they were still able to distinguish males from females you absolute bunch of spanners.
Before the late 18th century, Western science recognized only one sex—the male—and considered the female body an inferior version of it. The shift historians call the “two-sex model” served mainly to reinforce gender and racial divisions by tying social status to the body. (6/7)

It's what it looks like when you put compassion for Lia Thomas before compassion for the female swimmers who worked their whole lives fro something to then be gaslit, silenced and psychologically abused by their coaches and managers yes.
This, from Megan Rapinoe, reads as a very decent summation of the correct answer to any “trans person in sports” debate, and also, a pristine example of what personal politics look like when you operate with the value of compassion first.

@stellacreasy @bindelj @justice4women @RosieDuffield1 You know Stella, there are many of us who wanted to be able to resolve this situation while retaining polite social conventions with respect to addressing trans women. As this conflict has progressed, more and more women have become convinced that under the current political.

No, you don't understand what you are arguing against. Women keep telling you that the issue is men. They are telling you this because female people as a class are oppressed by male people as a class. Female people are subject to male violence. They are subject to male sexual.
@iburs17 @grace_hawthorn @janeclarejones I understand perfectly well what I am arguing against. You want to control trans people’s lives. You want to dictate where they can go, and in particular where they are allowed to pee, based on other people’s offense at their mere presence. And I don’t think that’s ok.
