I don't know that I agree with this, but I'll always remember when we brought him to campus at PHC. He was supposed to speak on his new environmentalism book. Instead he showed a powerpoint of a bunch of Jeff Koons art and complained about it.

Because the NOTAM trending tag on here is full of alarmism and misinfo — please note that it doesn’t, as some are saying, indicate imminent US strikes on Venezuela…
I was able to confirm that the FAA today issued a Notice to Airmen operating in the Maiquetia FIR, which is centered around Venezuela's main international airport, citing a "worsening security situation and heightened military activity in or around Venezuela."

Operators are only advised to "exercise caution" and to provide "72 hours advance notice of planned flights." Hard to construe this as a sign of an imminent US invasion or strike.

The notice appears to be active until February 19th. Notably, it doesn't appear to include a temporary flight restriction, which would bar civilian operators from entering the area. And it does not, as some are reporting, turn the area into a no-fly or "hot" zone.
