Companies like @Draxgroup collect billions in taxpayer dollars to burn trees for electricity. @JustinTrudeau and @POTUS Biden it's time to cut ties with the biomass scandal: https://t.co/cjDYFLQ8Qx This is cutting of your nose to spite your face!

BREAKING: one of the world's leading scientists on extinction says 70% of all Earth's big animals (mammals, birds) have been wiped out since 1918, along with 90% of SE Asia's tropical forests since 2000, and 98% of big ocean fish since 1973 - the rapid mass extinction scenario 🧵

Please stop buying sage. Walk into any cutesy boutique or even search Amazon and you’ll find it everywhere. This popularity is causing problems and there are other options. 🧵 https://t.co/MDWbcVcfrs

“In Finland, the # of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

We criminalize poverty. We criminalize homelessness. We criminalize addiction. We criminalize people who use drugs. We criminalize mental health. Let's make 2023 the year we support people who struggle with these health conditions instead of criminalizing them. #healthcare

33 years ago tonight, 14 women went to bed thinking about their finals, future in STEM and the upcoming holiday season. They didn’t know that these dreams threatened a man’s sense of self worth and that they wouldn’t survive to see their goals and aspirations become a reality.

When the Red Cross is called into a children's hospital to address a crisis...it is worth noting that Ford under spent by 900 million in health care 2022. Red Cross workers are ussually called in for disaster relief...#onpoli https://t.co/T5PD5vhgPT via @torontostar

A friend told me an amazing story over the weekend of how she’d been with a group of mostly young people, discussing the most famous person they’d shagged. When they got to the very end of the table, a woman in her 70s looked up and said quietly: ‘Elvis’.

Measles has the nasty ability to alter the immune system itself to forget every single pathogen it has ever encountered (your immune memory) like rebooting your system as if you had never been exposed to a microbe or infection before. 14/

Pollievre, with this new promise, basically calls Canadians “simple”, underestimates citizens’ ability to understand complex wording….

He argued that complex wording is not only hurting Canadians, but businesses as they spend hours trying to navigate government regulations

It's amazing to me that regular, wage-earning people object to the government paying wages to teachers, nurses, etc. in exchange for their labour. But they're fine with profit-earning corporations padding earnings for stockholders by providing those services instead. #onpoli

Today, Doug Ford announced there is enough money to bribe parents with $225 million from the education budget. On Monday, he will tell #cupe @osbcucscso that there isn't enough money for their proposed and much needed $250 million catch up raises. #onted

Question: if they keep cutting health care, mental health funding, and education, but you keep paying more in taxes... Where is your money going?

Essentially every single problem we have in this world (pollution, hunger, addiction, guns, inflation, etc.) really just comes down to the rich wanting to be richer. #MoMoneyMoProblems

What a missed opportunity, but not surprising with this government. The FIRST thing they did when they came to power was cancel FN curriculum writing.
