lol similar thing actually happened to the new building across the street from me. it’s a wide building on a corner with the narrow side on the avenue which is where the lot takes its address. so originally that was the address but it was confusing bc the entrance is on the side.
A house sits on a corner. Its mailbox is adjacent to its driveway, which opens on one street. But its front faces the other street. From which street should the house take its address?.

People can’t stop saying how kooky they think RFK is, as if this fascinating psychological assessment, in and of itself, resolves something about public policy. It does not.

I started becoming right wing during my second marriage. My wife at the time was cool with my crime charts and hereditarian arguments, but was furious when I questioned gender ideology. I was myself trans at the time. I don’t know why so many women are so attached to this cause.

having recently spent a week in the Asheville area, they have very obvious hurricane damage infrastructure projects they should be prioritizing for spending over weird stuff like this.
We have a serious problem here in Asheville NC. The county is about to spend $2.9 million in taxpayer funds on racial reparations. I took a deep dive into the 170 page report, and what I found is terrifying. Buckle up, because you're not gonna believe this. 🧵.

(this is aside from "opening our market even more" when pre-Trump we imposed zero tariffs with almost all of our allies and "spend more on their defense" is LOL when we have been underwriting all of Europe's defense for generations. just a complete inability to engage with.

enjoyed this podcast and was struck by exactly this exchange. Noah acknowledges that trade imbalances even with allies can be problematic. His suggestion for dealing with them is to do everything we've already done but *even more*. Apparently when in a hole you dig harder.

@wanyeburkett to the particular case, i'm not an expert but i believe it was Rand Paul who pointed out the current standard of care if for the mother to get a heb-B test so maybe we just vax the kids whose mother's have heb-b, i dunno. oh wait, "what if the mother refuses or doesn't have.

The question is: would you rather your kid get a vaccine or would you rather that every OB/GYN find a way to ensure that every pregnant woman and all of her potential partners aren't prostitutes or IV drug users? And no, you can't just use a form because people lie on those.
