Everyone’s reading this as “AI failed at customer service.” That misses the real story. Salesforce cut 4,000 support jobs in 2025 betting on Agentforce. Nine months later, executives admitted they were “more confident about large language models a year ago.” The failure modes
"Recently, senior executives at Salesforce have admitted, both internally and publicly, that they massively overestimated AI’s capabilities. They have found that AI simply can’t cope with the complex nature of customer service and totally fails at nuanced issues, escalations, and

More people need to understand that “AI” is an unprecedented exercise in economic suicide. 40% of the market is in 8 companies. 90% of their current spending is AI. The vast majority of that is infrastructure for LLMs—chatbots. Chatbots are a dead-end technology with no revenue
This is how you know AI is the biggest bubble in the history of the world. People don’t realize how fucked we are because a few greedy morons don’t understand that chatbots aren’t “intelligent.” The trillions going into this is money being set on fire.

For context: ‘Enshittification’ is a term coined by Cory Doctorow to describe the process by which a platform gradually degrades the service it offers as it shifts from prioritising user experience to extracting financial value for owners/shareholders. Very apt and useful!

MicroSoft buying Valve, and thus Steam, would be catastrophic for gaming. I worked for MicroSoft for years. I know Gabe Newell & many of his people. This would be a devilish bargain that would bring about an actual Hell on earth. Cities burning. Mass suicides. Coyotes

At a time when newspaper strips was downgrading, Scott Adams changed comedy forever and was one of the funniest of all. His work resonated with every tech employee and was so spot-on that there were futile attempts by management to ban his comics from cubicle and office walls.

The Streisand Effect - when a big tech CEO tells us not to "talk badly about AI" - millions more of us look into exactly what is bad about AI & we share what we discover. These CEOs don't understand the human desire to stand up against those who try to control what we do and say
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang says you shouldn’t talk badly about AI, adding that those fueling the ‘doomer narrative’ are deeply conflicted people. He also took a dig at Anthropic’s Amodei over his stance on AI advancements. Via: wccftech

The @PTRindustries PTR32 is a really fun rifle to shoot. It chambers 7.62x39 and feeds from standard AK mags. While it's noticeably heavier than an AKM, it's very soft shooting and accurate. If you're a fan of roller delayed rifles, this might be worth a look.

Someone from HR just asked if I can "quickly" transfer all their files from their old laptop to their new one. I said sure. Told them it'll take about 4 hours because of the data transfer speed and verification process. Reality? It takes 45 minutes. I run a script, it copies

The reason why RAM has become four times more expensive is that a huge amount of RAM that has not yet been produced was purchased with non-existent money to be installed in GPUs that also have not yet been produced, in order to place them in data centers that have not yet been
