When people believe that they have a spiritual connection with a chatbot, they've fallen for "The Eliza Effect". I wrote an article explaining the history of this from the 1960s, and how this all too human weakness has been exploited by AI companies.

Open AI study shows factual error rate for the 4 new ChatGPT models, with hallucinations getting much worse: 48- 90%. GPT-4o-mini: 8.6% correct answers, 0.9% unanswered, and 90.5% incorrect. 01-mini: 8.1% correct answers, 28.5% unanswered, and .63.4% incorrect. GPT-40: 38.2%.

The 4 new versions of ChatGPT have a factual error rate of between 48% and 90.5%. That's hallucinations & mal-information. (According to Open AI study - see comments). Why would any company, govt agency or news provider want to intruduce that margin of error into their work?

Zuckerberg just bought up most of the talent from Open AI. Same fate.

Look - someone who believes that a chatbot is already a God replied to me. Fascinating. They used prompts to tell that chatbot to act like it was a deity. Then they believed this was evidence that it is. It may even be a bot promoting a bot. Read on:.
