Ever wonder why dog breeds are so different while cats are all pretty similar? Not just house cats, but lions & tigers too! If so, come see me present on cat & dog evolution at both Saturday shows for Nine Lessons & Carols for Curious People, tickets @ https://t.co/Sy4AbJ3Yot

🦴 Signs of bone breakage in extinct giant elephants, likely caused by repeated blows from stone tools, could be the earliest evidence of animal butchery in India, palaeontologists say. ✍🏻 Story by @sahanaghosh8 https://t.co/Lb9kMjETUK @amjukar @ParthRChauhan3 @FloridaMuseum

As an American expat in the UK, I think it’s kind of nice having the US election and Guy Fawkes on the same day because it means my dog and I are both under the bed, shaking, howling, and freaking out.

Someone pinch me - it feels like a dream that we have been able to secure our tenure in Burlington House for 999 years! I am beyond ecstatic that we will be able to continue our important work in our historic home and support many future generations of natural historians!

New pub alert! With Luca Russo & team, we showed developmental instability effects of skull shape in declining otters 🦦 populations. A cool study that shows the use of museum collections and morphometrics in #conservation #Biology @NHM_Science @anjgoswami

My kid carries a book or three everywhere she goes. I love these pictures of her reading in all sorts of crazy spots across Peru and Ecuador, especially in Galápagos surrounded by loads of amazing animals. #readoutside #reading #bookworm

I’ve stayed at two hotels in Galápagos so far, both on Charles Darwin Avenue near the intersection of February 12 street. Now I’m on a mission to track down Darwin statues & street art and find the creepiest. The competition is fierce (but lots of gorgeous ones too)

For an evolutionary biologist, everything about Galápagos really is overwhelming, but I especially enjoyed visiting @DarwinFound yesterday! Would be great to see some of their amazing research in @LinneanSociety journals, where Darwin published the first description of evolution!
