Hounslow council have banned Lime bikes, and licensed Forest and Voi; neighbouring Richmond has licensed Lime and banned the others. So every bridge is Checkpoint Charlie, with loads of Lime bikes parked on one side and loads of Forest and Voi on the other. Top work everyone!

love being told how dangerous it is to live in London by people who come here once a year to watch a Lloyd Webber show

This might be one of the best descriptions of the film writing process I’ve ever come across, and it was written by James Cameron.

One of my big shocks about having a baby was that unlike the Twitter/Reddit baby hate culture, there are SO many people who will help carry your pram, open doors for you, wave to your baby or let you go in front if they're kicking off in a shop.

Bridget Phillipson says student loan isn’t like other loans - but fails to mention the horrendous interest rate that means your loan barely decreases each year and is some sort of scam happening in plain sight

No amount of cancelling Netflix and giving up takeaways can get around the fact that we're being priced out of straightforward things.

Thoria Istephan almost in tears while speaking at the Grenfell Inquiry shows that seven years might have passed but the scars of the tragedy run deep and the impact it’s had on people who aren’t even the survivors will last beyond today

My first piece for @iPaperSport. The Black ArsenaI book is out today and is such an engrossing read. I explored the phenomenon and its wide-reaching organic impact on black British popular culture and beyond with the book’s co-editor @CJNwonka. https://t.co/AciB7t7If3

Regardless of how you voted, this thread is v interesting and something that’s undoubtedly going to become more of an issue with future elections
I just can’t get past Labour winning 65% of seats off 34% of the vote. Absolutely wild mismatch between the headline result and, well, everything else. Britain is now a multi-party system, and first-past-the-post can’t cope.

Out of interest, does anyone else find themselves having to escalate more things to a complaints level than ever before? I've currently got two ombudsman cases open, and elsewhere am waiting for two other billing companies to resolve issues. Is it a customer services thing or?

Absolute favourite part of this isn’t this woman, but the guy who says there’s too many people coming into the country and it was an observation he made while ‘at the arrivals section of the airport’….so….tourists / Brits returning from holidays then. Can’t make it up
“This country is dead. Sharia law is king.” @lewis_goodall went door-knocking with Reform Party activists in Andy Burnham’s former constituency, Leigh, in Greater Manchester. Full episode out on Sunday 🎧
