In practice especially in resuscitation we should assume all the bullet wounds are enrty wound. Identification of enrty and exit wound is forensic job not surgical job

For children we do reduction only if the bowel is variable in adults it's contraindicated we do resection and anastomsis

Excellent article, gunshot is area of sharing experience, 87% of death in military trauma are happened before reaching medical treatment facilities which mandate more pre-hosptial intervention like resucitation with whole blood after stopping the bleeding.. (1)

Biggest change from residency: instead of filling big knowledge gaps, it's mostly finessing the minor details now.
