While adding this short-form case study to my portfolio I figured out a way to hack together a page transition in

(It's not perfect, but so much better than the abrupt black out that was happening before)

I made one but it has a delay.
I don’t see Apple offering this because it’s too complicated.
Running a Shortcut that has actions based on device orientation is working best for me.
Created a Shortcut that adds Double Tap to the Action Button on the iPhone 15 Pro.
In this example:
•• Double click opens Camera
• Single click opens Sonos
It's got some downsides, but it's fun.
The
@Figma
plugin I built over the break is live!
FrameHop helps you hop back and forth between Frames, Components and Variants. Set Favorites, use Quick Actions and more.
Created for my own workflow so it’s 100% free. RTs/reviews appreciated! (Link below)
Oooo- today’s
@framer
update is pretty exciting 💫
Overlays can now be added to Components! They also include a built-in “Dynamic Safe Area”
Major upgrade for creating dropdowns, menus, tooltips, etc.
Can’t wait to play with this!
@ilyamiskov
There’s actually an updated version that’s been on TestFlight for years. It’s really nice. No idea why they haven’t publicly released it. I believe the app was sold then never re-released. Email their support and they’ll add you.

Working on a navigation in

today for a single page site. Nav selection also updates as you scroll down the page using scroll variants. Tried to add a bit of personality to the spring 🪃

Are you using Staging in
@Framer
yet? It's one of my favorite features.
Settings > Staging & Versions > Enable Staging
Use Staging to test updates on a private URL before publishing to your public domain.
When ready to publish, Deploy the latest version in Staging settings.
I recently discovered this really neat undocumented preference in Keynote while doing some good ol fashioned Spelunking:
defaults write .iWork.Keynote EnableCustomAccelerationCurves -bool TRUE

Woke up today to find my site featured as Portfolio of the Day on Designer Daily Report! 🤩 If you aren't using their extension I highly recommend it 👉

Huge
@framer
update today. Will allow for advanced animation concepts and simplified page+component organization.
Also offers scroll sections as variables 🤩
Cannot wait for my workday to end so I can play with this ⏳
Here is my
@36daysoftype
challenge! This is my very first time making fonts in 3D, and I am sooo happy with the way it turned out! Which letter/number is your favorite?
What's your favorite
@Figma
keyboard shortcut? Here's mine:
Control + Shift + ?: Show all Keyboard Shortcuts. Blue means you've used it, black means you haven't. (Thx to
@joeyabanks
for that gem!)
Also the plugin "Zen Keys" adds quick menu actions for things without a shortcut.

The X rebrand is so poorly done and ego-driven, it’s painful.
X will never be the platform that “delivers us everything” bc it’s not what users actually want or need. Just some billionaire’s poorly informed idea & desire to own a monopoly app.
Twitter is gone.
End of an era.
watchOS 10 is a seriously awesome update
- All physical buttons have new functions
- Almost every native app is redesigned
- Smart Stack Widgets are a game changer
Did the Vision Pro demo yesterday... was wild.
Eye tracking is mind blowing.
Experience is 10/10.
Actual use cases... 🤷♂️
Was not tempted to buy.
Eyeglass form will change the world.
@maxscumbag
You need to store a variable in another app like Data Jar when the Action Button is pressed. Then I’m using a Focus mode automation to count how many times the button has been pressed.
It just makes the single click response time a lot slower.

The new iPhone might be my favorite in years.
The soft edges make it more comfortable to hold, it feels significantly lighter, it’s slightly smaller.
Also having a physical button you can set to do anything is incredible.
@WolfgangBremer
UI is a subset of UX, so just saying “UX” includes UI by default.
But yes for some reason the “/“ is very common.
The bigger question for me is why aren’t Product Designers called Software Designers?
@BasicAppleGuy
Apple tends to stay away from social networks but I think a privacy first music network is the one area that would really make sense for them
The right Command and Option key are useless... so I remapped them:
Right Command 👉 Show Desktop

Here's how you can remap them to nearly anything you want:

@Figma
files... So made changes to the jumpToFrame function and we're back to biz jumping around Figma fast af 🏎️💨
tl;dr v1.1.1 is out with support for large files
Thanks to
