This is huge! Volunteering at @TheB_R_I_C with @vin_ila opened my eyes to the power of a holistic, community-based approach in healing patients from the physical + psychological trauma of gun violence. So happy to see Dr. @lj_punch secure this funding and keep the mission going.
As a survivor of gun violence myself, when Dr. @lj_punch came to us for a grant to help expand The BRIC (Bullet Related Injury Clinic), I knew we had to get it done. I’m proud to deliver $3 million in funding for North St. Louis—16x the amount requested—to help save lives.
