We wrote a review on Transposable Elements (TEs) and almost all aspects of TE silencing and their roles in biological processes & disease. With such a large scope you need excellent partners, so we are happy to have teamed up with @zz_zhaozhang & @VyxPhd .

This meeting looks very interesting, so don't miss the abstract submission deadline. Suzhou is indeed a beautiful location. I was there in April for the CSHA transposon meeting, as you can see my photo visiting Yogita's (from @JakobssonLab ) poster used as a cover image here 😅.

Congrats to Yusuke Kijima from the @_taktas_ lab on his Postdoc Fellowship by @EMBO! Based on a recent discovery from the lab published in @Nature, his project will investigate the molecular machinery of a novel pathway that silences transposon expression.

I had a recent conversation with the people in the lab, and I wonder what the hive mind would think 🤔 Does having a "cool" lab website increase the chances of good scientists applying to that lab? (You can also comment).

Congratulations @Maxistoe et al. When Maxi started working on this project, he wanted to determine RNA targets of TETs and we offered our help. I have never seen someone master a technique so quickly and execute all the experiments in such a short time. Every lab needs a Maxi 😉.
