by what measure is it failing? by a measure like, say, average rider cost, it's actually the most efficient transit agency in America.
Failing mass transit agencies like SEPTA already get billions from state taxpayers. But after years of mismanagement, they are demanding even more, and Gov. Shapiro wants YOU to give it to them. We say NO to a taxpayer bailout of mass transit!. CC @MeganMartin815

SEPTA is already accountable. It is the most efficient transit system in America. The area that SEPTA serves is the single largest economic region in Pennsylvania. Fund SEPTA or the state will decay and decline. The choice is clear.
Our state is faced with a structural deficit just like SEPTA. Along with the discussion of any additional dollars for mass transit, this reality necessitates meaningful reforms and accountability measures must be implemented to ensure the long-term success of mass transit.

I hate it when I turn onto a street that is too narrow and my four thousand pound car flips over :(.
Yesterday’s Accident at 9th & Spruce was caused by a Car Turning Wide Onto a Street Already Made Too Narrow by the Bike Lane. Concrete Barricades Would Have Created a Bigger Disaster. @PhillyMayor @CouncilmemberKJ @marksquilla @ThielAdam @GeorgeBochetto @PhillyOTIS @PPD09Dist

worth a read if you haven't actually worked on a farm.
Ex-farm worker here. This whole "But a living wage for farm workers would spike the cost of food!" thing?. Not true AT ALL. Y'all don't understand how fast experienced farm workers are. The average tomato picker pulls 650lbs per hour. At $20/hr, that's $0.03/lb for labor.
