I was born and raised in Pinehurst and have been lucky to play all the courses over the years. This is just my personal favorite 10 top. I’m biased towards Southern Pines because I am a member and grew up playing it 😎

From a locals perspective, Southern Pines is one of the best tracks in the Sandhills. Tobacco Rd is cool but it’s basically a tourist course. It barely makes my top 10.

Meh, I prefer a 3 and 4 iron in the bag. I did replace my 3 wood with a 5 wood and it’s an absolute weapon!

Mid Pines 13th par 3 220 yards. I birdied that beast yesterday and shot my best round of the year, 71.

Yup always is and they keep the greens fast. It’s a short course but there are some pretty holes out there.

For a golfing family of 4, I totally agree! Those E9 rounds with my wife and boys, are moments I’ll cherish forever. 9k initiation fee and $450 a month for 3 top 20 courses in NC is worth every penny.

The cheapest time to play it is during the week in the offseason months. June-August and December-February.

Doubtful unless it gets windy, then there might be chaos. The greens are the courses defense and Martin Kaymer showed the blueprint to handle them.

Reserve the motorcycle bikes at Mid Pines. And you can ground your club in the “waste areas”, they’re technically not bunkers 😎
