What a b(y)east! Using S. pombe, we demonstrate that replication fork component Mrc1 (CLASPIN in mammals) functions to recycle ♻️parental H3-H4 to BOTH leading and lagging strand ☯️! Affecting recycling symmetry leads to a clonal loss of heterochromatin and #epigenetic memory⬇️🧵.
