Public transit funding is in trouble as California state leaders hammer out the state budget. Your representatives and key budget leaders need to hear from you right now (well, best during business hours): Now there is a tool to help make those calls! https://t.co/EE0qssvOIb

If you live in the Capitol Corridor region and want to help put time into fighting for electrify the corridor, let us know! We're looking for more volunteers & will help train & equip you so you can be a more effective transit advocate!

Capitol Corridor is evaluating use of hydrogen on the corridor due to state intervention, overruling the 2016 vision plan which called for electrification, 15 minute peak service, and 150 mph speeds (which hydrogen is not suited for). Riders deserve better!

No family would chose to ride bay area transit for financial efficiency - it is virtually never cheaper (in fact, grossly more expensive); actively penalizing families for either not being able to afford a car or choosing a more environmentally responsible travel mode.

BART fares are only affordable for middle to upper class commuters. BART is unaffordable for families. Low-income, senior, and youth passes are not discounted enough and are too difficult to apply for Discounted pass should be available at every station for $1 or less

Dear Bay Area reporters, 1. BART is full and riders need more service than one train every 20m 2. Riders fully returned to transit in 2024, we are just taking fewer trips per-month 3. BART is the most efficient transit agency in the nation with above average farebox recovery

We’re now working toward a 2026 regional ballot measure to shore up & improve Bay Area transit systems. The emergency state funds delayed service cuts. We now need to work regionally to ensure these systems’ long-term viability. For the Bay Area to succeed, transit must succeed.

All eyes will be on Monday’s meeting of the MTC’s Transportation Revenue Measure Select Committee. If some counties are against a sales tax and other counties are against a parcel tax and business is against a payroll tax, then what can be supported?
