AC Transit could follow a rule similar to Muni’s Market St stop rule, where bus stop locations are determined based on destination. Rapid buses (1T/72R) could stop together at high-level platforms, and local buses could make stops based on destination, fleet, or ridership (19/22)

Portland heavily restricted general traffic on 5th and 6th streets through Downtown in 2009 to create the Portland Transit Mall, speeding up trips on three light rail lines and some fifteen bus lines. Cars are still able to use the furthest left lane on the Transit Mall. (12/21)

General traffic is restricted during the day, and all vehicles are allowed overnight, to facilitate loading and deliveries. Each bus line is assigned a color and only makes stops based on that color. Skipping certain stops reduces congestion and allows for faster trips. (11/21)

Transit trips sped up by 12%, and the number of people riding bikes on Market increased by 25%. Seattle’s 3rd Ave is one of the city's most important transit and commercial corridors, carrying Washington’s busiest bus lines on the street, and Link trains underground. (10/21)
