This would make sense if words, ACTUALLY, were deeds. But they are not. Considering the situation on the front, this merely makes Kallas look unhinged and detached from material reality.
@POLITICOEurope As a negotiating tactic this makes sense. Russia is demanding that Ukraine reduce its military, even though Russia is the aggressor. That's backwards. Letting Russia take extreme positions without an equal response to show futility of that tactic lets Russia set parameters.

Fully agree A Ukraine in the EU would allow us to completely reshape how we use land in Europe. We use WAY too much of our land for unproductive, unnatural and heavy subsidized farm land. We could produce our food in Ukraine and use our old farm lands for new forests & cities!
