European leaders yesterday signed up to a monumental (and probably unrealistic) military spending target demanded by Trump. Yet at #EUCO today, a discussion on how to do it is expected to be brief because "they already talked about it at NATO". EU defence efforts have stalled.

It's kind of astounding how the folks who wrote pro-Iraq op-eds in 2003 are still going strong at the major newspapers.

The EU is coming under enormous pressure right now to scrap the carbon border levy scheduled to take effect on 1 January. But without CBAM, there is no functioning EU ETS. And without ETS, there is no EU climate policy. #COP30 #Belem #UNFCCC Read: https://t.co/TdO1W6KcNW

Earlier this month, drone sightings shut down 5 airports in Belgium as well as military sites. Russian involvement has not yet been definitively proven. It comes as other airports across Europe, including in Copenhagen (home of rotating 🇪🇺presidency), have been buzzed by drones.

Rep. Thomas Massie: "The president has been saying this is a hoax…Well, he's just now decided to investigate a hoax...If they have ongoing investigations, those documents can't be released. So this might be a big smoke screen…to prevent the release of the Epstein files."

Britain's far right opposition party says 🇬🇧 must leave the European Court of Human Rights (not affiliated with 🇪🇺) in order to have tougher migration policy. But 🇩🇰 is also in the ECHR and has been working with it to change its rules. Labour says this is the better way to go.

The UK's Labour government is today announcing a new immigration & asylum policy they say is modelled on that of their centre-left sister party governing Denmark. But how is Denmark's asylum policy, considered the harshest in 🇪🇺, viewed in Brussels?

This is the tipping point I warned of in February in The Atlantic--when they believe losing power is a greater risk to their personal fortunes & freedom than election interference on a scale that makes Jan 6 look like a puppet show. I'm afraid many have already passed that point.

The grift is so pervasive that they’ll all collude against a free and fair election in 2028, because they’ll fear the consequences of defeat. It won’t just be Trump and a small band trying to subvert the election, as in 2020. It will be an administration-wide effort.

Trump doesn’t have to call on House Republican to vote to release the file. Trump can order Bondi and Patel to release the files. Tomorrow. The question is, has he already ordered Bondi and Patel to destroy some of the files after they went through them months ago.

Facing certain defeat in the House this week — and the prospects of seeing a veto-proof majority vote for the bill to release the Epstein files — Trump reverses course and is now calling on House Rs to back the plan, even though the WH and Johnson have spent months battling it.

The list of supposed British patriots who jump at the chance to slag off their own country in order to get on Fox News is long. These people are obsessed with America. They would probably support becoming the 51st state.
