Incredible amount of work for this must read paper! Profiling hundreds of GPCR first and second coupling with an assay using natives G alpha is groundbreaking. A Reference in GPCR field ! .Congrats @KLabGPCR & Ikuo Masuho!.
Our systematic investigation of G protein coupling profiles of 100+ #GPCRs driven by the one and only Ikuo Masuho is out after ~10 years of work. We see many interesting patterns with the help of AI. Check it out- there is a useful reference table.

Very excited to share this great discovery ! 🎉 At @KLabGPCR we finally found the metabotropic receptor for glycine in the brain! Amazing work of @_stezucca_ and @Dipak_P_tsri in collaboration with @ForliLab.
Happy to report that we found what we believe the first ever #GPCR for neurotransmitter glycine. It is an unusual receptor - an orphan GPR158 which couples to RGS proteins instead of G proteins. Thus it is also the first ligand-regulated RGS! Check it out.
