Reading up on @DAcemogluMIT: We were both born in 1967, a month apart, and immigrated to the West for school. His mom was the principal of an Armenian school in Istanbul. Same here (but in Beirut)! His likely last name in Armenian = Ajemian, my mom's maiden name. What’s going on?
