This kind of philosophy is what feeds into rehashes of older media in the most soulless form. Star Fox fans aren't desperate for any new form of content. We're desperate for a return to form to great content like the series deserves to be known for, which Command is not.
I don't understand why some people are upset at a Sonic comic writer being willing to make a Star Fox comic, because us SF fans are desperate for ANY form of new official content right now. 🥲

FFVII Rebirth's sales numbers for Japan are out.
And I think they tell a deeper story of how FF has lost its appeal to its homeland after losing its identity and quality assurance to audiences. Look at these numbers since 1997. The market was much smaller back then.

I think it's primarily because of the platform in which those characters appear in. Smash Bros is unquestionably elite and of extremely high standard. Fortnite is not seen the same way, it's extremely vast and indiscriminate with its IP choice and handling of them.

If Zack is killed, it would be a cheap way of giving narrative purpose to his survival, serving as Aerith's Deus Ex Machina tool. It would also be a betrayal to the main audience this project is for: the self-proclaimed FF7 fans that actually grew up on Crisis Core. (5/27)

I think this also ignores the glaring issue of FFVII Rebirth selling even worse than FFXVI, the title that was getting a lot of controversy for appealing too hard to the West. FFVII is a cultural cornerstone of Japanese media. FFVII selling worse than XVI is unbelievable. (5/?)

Ocarina of Time pre-rendered backgrounds are a true beauty, and an underrated aspect of the game. Its implementation likely stemmed as a response to a heavy-hitting game released the year prior. I'm blown away by the fact that I never sought the images by themselves until now...

The only option that makes narrative sense (even if I fundamentally disagree with the type of story they're telling here) is killing Cloud. It's the only type of shock that would surprise people as much as Aerith's in '97. It's the cliffhanger for Part 3 with Zack leading. (6/27)

People on copium overdose claiming 4 was made bad on purpose to kill off the franchise should really rethink their bottom tier take on the film being secretly good because of it all being ""intentional"".

I would say that the grotesque state of the franchise showed its rot overnight. I dropped Pokemon in the early-00s, so my bias tends to be negative. I saw it as the lesser franchise of Nintendo's catalogue for a good while. It was always debatable whether it was still worthwhile.
