I got reminded how genuinely pretty good the combat of the original Yakuza 1 & 2 are. You can feel how brutal Kiryu's moves are, and his moveset was actually built on crowd control with chunky hitboxes. You can tell Sega used their expertise on beat'em'ups. Underrated combat!
