I really don't see what the fuss is about regarding the whole "weapon fusing" ability in Tears of the Kingdom.
It's not like it's something new and unique. Back in 2002 I fused the Master Sword with Ganondorf's skull.

So I guess this one was a plastic prop all along? 🤔
New TOTK lore just dropped relating the disappearance of the Sheikah Tech.
They just disappeared on their own, and no body knows why. Some believe that because the calamity disappeared, so too did the tech as it had served its purpose.

My issue is that the game doesn't take into account when Link gains certain knowledge from the memories. I had already seen what really happened to Zelda before awakening all the sages, and yet Link still goes along with all the other NPCs and pretends like it's still a mystery.

Welp, it looks like we may have our answer. According to Fujibayashi, Tears of the Kingdom, despite the time travel aspect, still takes place after the original timeline ^^
It seems that those who suggested that Hyrule was destroyed and then refounded were right.

- We will see Link

I realize I might be setting myself up for disappointment with these bold expectations, but it's a risk I'm willing to take.

This like saying that silent films had a rough start in cinema, because they weren't in color, had no sound, and weren't HD.
OoT was a stepping stone. It pioneered 3D gaming in a time when designing a game in 3D space was still being figured out. And it did a damn good job at it
Since no ones gonna say it, if any franchise needs to be scrutinized for their "rough transition into 3D" i t is most definetly OOT

It seems there is a sinkhole at the site of the Seven Heroines, right where the shrine used to be! 2 statues are missing, with a 3rd one almost buried. The remaining statues are slanted towards toward hole. And one of the stone swords is in the process of being swallowed.

Canonically speaking, it made sense that Navi had to teach Link how to open doors.
There is not a SINGLE door present in Kokiri Forest or the Lost woods for that matter. In other words... this was the first time the Hero of Time ever laid eyes on a door!

The "Zonai" slab from Breath of the Wild is actually a single 3D model in the game's files, even though all pieces are scattered across the beach area of Faron. And yes, they actually fit together perfectly ^^

Time to share an honest opinion. I do not like the main story of Tears of the Kingdom. I like the characters. I enjoy certain story beats and settings. But I despise the overal writing and world building. I expected more.
That said, the gameplay is great ^^

I hope that for the role of Ganondorf they cast someone who is actually big and imposing, rather than resorting to visual trickery to make some 5ft8 actor look much bigger than they really are. Plenty of talented actors out there who are an absolute tank IRL.

Breath of the Wild had MASSIVE hype surrounding it. And it delivered. Same goes for pretty much every mainline Zelda title. It's safe to hype up Zelda games ^^

So why didn't it disappear after the calamity from 10.000 years ago? It served it's purpose back then too. In fact, if it had, Ganon wouldn't have been able to corrupt it in the future and kill 90% of Hyrule's population 🤔. TotK's storytelling strikes again.

When first playing Ocarina of Time I thought that Link would grow older gradually as the game progressed, because of the box art. Funny how the mind of a kid works, because I could swear he looked a bit bigger and stronger after each dungeon. I didn't know about the time travel.

I have now officially surpassed the point where I gave up on Skyward Sword back in 2011, and there are no signs of me wanting to quit. The dungeons are rock solid, and Im still greatly enjoying it! It goes to show that my mental state back then played a big part in my judgement.
