She has nightmares all the time. And panic attacks. Normal stressors that most people can handle cause her to vomit or have a meltdown. This is after years of therapy and multiple hospitalizations. 1/

My daughter was in the ER from 5 am to 5 pm--12 hours--waiting to be transferred to a psych hospital. Mr. Tax was with her the entire time. The only other patients were 2 meth heads and a drunk. So no, Covid is not overwhelming ERs in Boulder County.

I live in Colorado, not Manhattan. It takes me 45 minutes to drive to Denver. It takes 2+ hours by bus. Public transit use here has stayed around 5% despite billions spent. Why? Colorado is the country's 8th largest state but 37th in population density. Sit down.

OK Tweeps, I am kinda freaking out right now. My GERD is acting up, so I'm having an upper GI endoscopy next month. I know it's not hereditary, but my dad had esophageal cancer...thus the freaking out part. I could use a prayer if you have one to spare.

Just talked to Mama Tax. Yesterday she went to have cataract surgery and ended up having a freaking heart attack after she came out of anesthesia. So, today she's getting transferred to another hospital for an angioplasty. Prayers requested.

She and our bio-daughter met in high school. Bio-daughter convinced her to call the cops. The perp us doing 13 to life. Afterwards, she came to live with us. It's been very hard raising a kid with complex PTSD, but I'm glad we could be there for her. 3/

My OB said my baby likely had Down Syndrome. Sent me off to a specialist for an amniocentesis to confirm. I asked why amnio was necessary. "So you can have an abortion if you want." Me: OH. HELL. NO. Didn't have the amnio. Kid was HS salutatorian, class of 2016. @bdomenech

Update on daughter: Right before she went to the hospital, she started a new job. She had only worked there for a week, so we figured they would fire her. They didn't. I know employers are desperate for workers, but I'm so grateful they gave her another chance.

Thank you everyone for the prayers for my daughter. Unfortunately this is not the first time she's been in a psych hospital, but we're hopeful that she can return to health soon. Your concern and support mean so much to me. โคโคโคโคโค
