With looming strikes can @wesstreeting clarify what will be done about the fact that a Dr’s assistant out earns a qualified Dr for the first few gruelling years of postgraduate working life for Drs in the NHS?. We need to retain those qualified to practice medicine in the U.K.

Multiple Coroner's Prevention of Future Deaths reports. RCP in turmoil w humiliating U-turn . Now Leng Review advising: .Name change .No undifferentiated pts .No primary care until more experienced . When do the stubborn irrational fellows receive an apology from our CMO?

Do we need a reminder of what some fellows had to do to bring the RCP to the point of listening? . Of how the RCP (mostly the same individuals minus 3) is now acting like this was common sense policy all along? . That a few FRCPs stubborn irrationality is now RCP policy?

Whilst reading the Leng review & considering the @RCPhysicians response (irony itself) . It’s worth remembering this exchange from the exPRCP & current CMO . It seems the passionate minority whose rationality was “way down the list. beyond being swayed” - were actually correct?

How can this situation be prevented from happening again? How can council members be confident to speak out and know they will be heard and know they won’t face retribution (even when they were right from the start)? What learning has occurred? . @parthaskar.

3. Considering senior leadership remains largely full of those initially in opposition to these policies; has there been any internal investigation regarding how the RCP could be so out of touch with what its members wanted and why it was so difficult to get anyone to listen?.

2. What is the detriment caused by Prof Kar if the U-turns in policy &!requests to share information with @lengreview all subsequently became RCP policy? I note all internal candidates in recent elections stood on platforms for change which included these U-turns as their “wins”.

I have questions for the @RCPhysicians . 1. What are your Whistleblowing policies and where are they documented? If they don’t exist is this part of your external governance review suggested by @TheKingsFund in their scathing report?.

The most astonishing thing is to read this then recall the self aggrandising candidate statements from internal candidates in the recent @RCPhysicians elections-. - taking shameless credit for major policy change that @parthaskar had to drag them to kicking & screaming “BE KIND”.

90% vote FOR industrial action (55% turnout). This isn’t greed - it’s a marker of distress . @wesstreeting these doctors are our future - they need to be paid fairly commensurate with their education & training and for the vital & demanding work they do.

Woefully slow non-reassuring response so far . Widespread reports of this issue affecting more than confirmed by @MRCPUK . I have so many questions but mostly want to say that is remains unacceptable to treat the future of our profession in this way . Resit + compensation asap.

I know for a FACT that this is untrue @MRCPUK @RCPhysicians @RCP_RDC .@RheumatologyUK . One of the doctors affected works with me and has not heard from you at all. Sort it out.

When are we going to have our faith in these examinations restored? . We can not disenfranchise these hard working resident doctors . It is unacceptable.

Multiple reports of significant technical issues during yesterdays Rheumatology SCE exam done from home for the 1st time yesterday @MRCPUK @RCPhysicians @RCP_RDC . This has caused significant distress and will hold careers back as only an annual exam . Urgent resolution required.
