It has been 20 years since the Moneyball draft.

You shouldn’t gamble on sports if you ever think you deserve a refund because a player got hurt. Sports betting isn’t for you. This is like cigarettes companies giving out free cigarettes. Need better regulations or you are just creating addicts not customers.
I don’t think anyone serious is debating this. Bettors do not “deserve” a mulligan, but it also makes sense that some sportsbooks will give refunds in rare high-profile cases to gin up a little marketing and build some goodwill
