Kinda blows my mind how many people are talking shit about this tweet on Reddit. Saying things about "ok now pay your workers more and give them better benefits". I make a damn good wage just driving around and fixing Teslas and my benefits are second-to-none in this country. Lol
@elonmusk
So you’ll fund my lawsuit against Tesla? Because I was placed on a final written warning for trying to help people with service related questions
Officially a Tesla Owner.
Let me introduce you all to my 2017 Tesla Model S 100D. If you recognize this car, it’s because you’ve probably seen it before. I purchased it from my great friends
@arctechinc
and
@jansky_girl
! Really appreciate you guys.
Finally part of the club. :)
I’m just gonna say it:
Elon isn’t as good of a leader as people think he is if they truly believe Tesla would be a shell of its former self without him.
Steve Jobs died and Apple didn’t skip a beat, and are more successful than they every were with Jobs at the helm (albeit

My epic roadtrip has finally concluded! 5,778 miles over 12 days. LA to Charlotte, to Austin, then back to LA. All in my 2017
@Tesla
Model S 100D now with over 120,000 miles on it! I even broke $1,000 in gas savings! All I have to say is what a MACHINE! Thank you

Personally I find it offensive that people seem to think the Tesla team is incapable of running the company without Elon’s constant oversight. He spent many years guiding this company and building this team. Give us some credit
This has got to be the DUMBEST thing I’ve ever seen. Slows down the delivery process, waste’s sales advisor’s and the customer’s time, and you can’t even install FSD 12.3.1 on new Tesla’s because they come delivered on the 2024.x firmware branch and 12.3.1 STILL ISN’T ON THE
Little story time for me and the now "legacy" Model 3:
As I was going through my late teens and entered my 20's, I was an anti-Tesla, Chevy Volt (with a V) elitist. I believed in lots of the anti-Tesla FUD, as I didn't know anyone in the Tesla community or anyone really that
After an incredible 6.5 year run & and ~2.3 million units sold, legacy Model 3 production is ending.
The 2017-2023
@Tesla
Model 3 not only revolutionized the auto industry, but also dismantled the notion that EVs couldn't be profitable low-cost mass-market cars 🫡

Thanks a ton for this response Rohan. It helps us feel seen and validated by being told you guys see and hear us! Most of the frustration is out of extreme excitement to test the new hotness and see what everyone is so ecstatic about, so I appreciate the team’s dedication to
Tesla board: we had to lay off over 10% of our workforce to streamline the company and get lean for our next phase of growth.
Also the Tesla board: let’s give Elon 50 billion dollars.
(Immediately muting this)
@briandstone__
Also if you got the free FSD as part of the employee lease program, you will also now be paying for that as it’s part of the lease agreement. So that’s an addition ~$200 a month on top of your already ballooned lease payment.
This happens due to the BMS starting to have some error in the calculation of your State of Charge. This typically happens when you have certain charging habits, like keeping the battery in a small SoC window over a longer period of time.
Your battery’s overall capacity and SoC
Does your Tesla charge over the charge limit regularly?
Someone said it is a bug.
I don’t think so, I’ve experienced this for several years of Tesla ownership across multiple Teslas.
Update: drove 57 miles with my Dad.

SHIT!!
This is the best FSD version I have ever used. I was genuinely blown away. I was worried the insane hype over this version wouldn’t translate to my legacy S, but it absolutely lived up to it! This is finally the version my
Time for the first drive with V12! Taking Dad with me to see if it impresses him (he hates ADAS or any DAS systems). Let’s see if the wait was worth it!!
@brandonee916
@arctechinc
Did people who paid $15,000 get refunded when it dropped to $12,000? That’s not how price cuts work lol.
Lifetime transfers for people who currently own FSD would be entirely reasonable though, imo.
Hey
@NHTSAgov
, stop making auto manufacturers waste paper and government resources by sending me a letter for a “recall” that was fixed automatically in my garage while I slept via an OTA update, TWO MONTHS AGO.
Such a waste.

Yup, solved that one issue. But all of us legacy S/X owners still haven’t received v12 yet, with no official communication stating whether or not we even will. MCU1 FSD S/X owners have been living in the dark on this for years, and now MCU2 owners are beginning to be lumped into
I live in an apartment and only have access to a 120V outlet in my garage. The closest supercharger to me is 20 minutes away and charges $0.48 a kWh from 11 am to 9 pm. I rely on my UMC to charge most of the time.
Cannot even imagine how a new owner would feel in my situation.
So glad to have gotten to go with James and Lisa for delivery. Car is flawless!
Now, I will be taking delivery of their “old” 2017 Model S in about a week. Absolutely cannot wait! :)
@elonmusk
huge thank you to the
@Tesla
team for our beautiful new 2022 Model S Long Range. ♥️
This is a replacement for our 2017 Model S 100D for our big road trips to the Northwest Territories, Canada. We love as much range as we can get!
Name of the new S... Coming soon! 😉
All I’m saying is, I said that V12 wasn’t on a 2024 branch, and a day later Tesla released a V12 build on a 2024 branch.
Then I said V12 still wasn’t on legacy S/X, and a day later it started rolling out for legacy S/X.
SYDNEY SWEENEY DEFINITELY WON’T SLIDE INTO MY DM’S, THAT
PRE-POST DISCLAIMER: I know this could be getting worked on at this very moment and may be solved at the same time as what I’m about to point out, but I feel like I just have to ask:
How does Tesla expect to license FSD to run on other manufacturers’ vehicles, on all different
If all GM did was rerelease the Bolt EV at a similar price to today, with the NACS port and at least 150 kW DC charging, it would be the best value EV and potentially best value car on the market.
Would probably be their biggest win in years. I’m hopeful the announcement today
Just watched a Model 3 owner try 4 separate times to park next to me at the supercharger. Backing in between two cars, neither of us crooked, and homie took 4 tries. This really sets the good drivers apart from the bad drivers 😂
People love talking shit about how slow MCU1 is (a >9 year old computer system) but I guarantee you’d take that over the Mach-E or VW ID-series’ infotainment any day of the week 🤣
I have to work tomorrow and Monday.
Since it’s Christmas, if I service your car tomorrow or Monday, I expect milk and cookies.
Sorry; I don’t make the rules.
Gonna be honest, I’ve been pretty critical of FSD Beta due to my own personal experiences with it (people in my Twitter Circle know what I’m talking about). But I gotta say, 10.69.3.1 has been genuinely mind blowing for me. It still fucks up, but it’s so much better than before
Driving to Charleston tonight, gonna tick over 170,000 miles on the way. Any guesses what the 100% charge range is?
2017 Model S 100D with original pack. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 45,000+ kWh of DC charging. 335 miles when new.
Basically if you buy a Foundations Series Cybertruck you’re paying a $20,000 markup for a sprayed on badge on the side of the truck, early build problems, and lifetime premium connectivity 😂
We’ve got credit cards that give cash-back when you buy gas, but do we have any that give you cash back when paying for EV charging?
Someone should get on that.
Today is the two year anniversary of me purchasing my 2017 Tesla Model S 100D from
@arctechinc
and
@jansky_girl
. When I bought it in December of 2021, it had 107,987 miles in it. In that time I have:
- Put almost exactly 69,000 miles on it (nice)
- Driven halfway or completely
2017 Model S 100D. Original battery pack. 147,252 miles. Original advertised maximum supercharging speed: 150 kW. Speed observed today: 193 kW peak (literally lasted a second 😂).
Only a week left until I’m (hopefully) debt free. Been paying for my (albeit dumbass) mistakes as a teenager for years now and can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. And it’s all thanks to TSLA :)
Controversial opinion: I think the Model Y looks better than the Model 3; at least when it’s driving down the road. The 3 is certainly more photogenic, but the Y just has this presence to it
@Tesla
@arctechinc
Thank you for finally saying which features are going to which models so I no longer have to guess which features I won’t receive 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Now that I’m finally in bed, I’m just realizing that I woke up Wednesday morning, worked 10 hours, and then literally hopped in my car and drove from LA to Charlotte in 48 hours… in an electric car… by myself…
Actually really proud of myself and have no idea how I did it 🤣
Decided to do an
@itskyleconner
70 mph range test on my 2017 Tesla Model S 100D with ~188,000 miles on it. Still on the original pack, which according to Scan My Tesla is sitting at about 80.8 kWh remaining. Full charge shows 276 miles, managed to travel 217.7 miles before
I promise you that you’re not a bad person if you disengage FSD Beta before it does something or seems like it’s about to do something that makes you uncomfortable or unsafe. The AP team won’t be mad at you, Tesla won’t be mad at you, Daddy Elon won’t be mad at you.
It’s your
Corvette E-Ray comes with a 1.9 kWh battery and starts at $105,000 USD. I don’t think anyone was more disappointed than my Dad was. May have convinced him to get a Model S LR as his next car instead 😂
@DirtyTesLa
This isn’t a win. This is Tesla pulling another lever to drive short term demand for a single quarter. Until it becomes a longer term/permanent thing, this is (almost) useless.
Not everyone can just up and buy a new car in a random 3 month period of a random year with zero
@cgfromnc
@WholeMarsBlog
There’s nothing 👀 about it, they’re just showing the price after their arbitrary “gas savings” instead of the actual price. Not a fan of this approach. Gonna fool a lot of folks.
@klwtts
@ElectrifyAm
@Teslarati
Ah yes, the “attack the customer for showing us a problem with our system instead of actually fixing the problem itself” approach.
That’s definitely one way of doing things. 🤦🏻♂️
@_bennettm_
E x a c t l y. Like my job is so much fun and I literally never want to work for any other company ever. If they treat us so poorly, why would I say that? 😂
Imagine loving everything about a car and then not buying it because sometimes some of the body panels don’t line up perfectly from the factory. Like what a weird hill to die on lol
@netcapgirl
We’re still negative cash flow, due to ~50% drop in advertising revenue plus heavy debt load. Need to reach positive cash flow before we have the luxury of anything else.

Would love to try it if Tesla would send us Legacy S/X owners V12. Really sucks to see people who haven’t even paid for FSD get V12 when those of us who have still haven’t gotten it yet.
Stopped at my first V4 Supercharger today. Ngl kinda screamed like a little girl when I rolled in and realized it was a V4 😂
Also I agree with what others have said: the cable is too stiff (it was high
40’s F out) and the receptacle that it docks in was unintuitive how it
If Rohan has left as well then we can kiss any sort of transparent communication from Tesla directly to owners goodbye.
Would be a real shame, but wish him the best either way.
