Ahhhh this is how they get ya. Just posted an update. I got phished, so this is on me. Moment of distraction during a family event I clicked a damn link in an email. I still think there are some learnables for Twitter here, but also some for me. CONSTANT VIGILANCE.

Welp I was phished. Classic case. Bound to happen to me once every 10 years or so, I guess. Will go through it on WAN Show, but I 100% should have known better. They got me during a BBQ and sent me scrambling for a solution when the solution would have been to do nothing.

Account appears to be locked down now (attached update from Luke) I'm not happy with the process, but I am grateful to everyone at Twitter who had better things to do on a Sunday and got this taken care of.

Absolutely brilliant. I got another response from Twitter re: my account hijacking report. I CAN'T reset the password because it needs 2FA and they reset my 2FA somehow. There are at least 4 people at Twitter who have been notified. **JUST LOCK IT DOWN**

FYI Here's how the scam works. They are posting and deleting to avoid any community notes, and when you DM, they will try to get you to send money to an address in Russia. Haven't heard anything concrete from Twitter yet.

If anyone from Twitter is curious about how to prevent this going forward, how about when I get an email that says "if this wasn't you....etc" you give me the option to lock the account down instead of prompting me to log in. HOW CAN I LOG IN IF THEY COMPROMISED THE ACCOUNT??

**BEWARE** The main LTT Twitter account has been hijacked. 4 minutes after I received this email I tried to log in, but the password had already been changed. By the time I could update the password, the 2FA had been deactivated/reactivated. I have contacted Twitter support.
