The officer should not have been suspended. The question is, was he acting maliciously. All the body language he and his colleague displayed suggests they were not. Sorry but the suspension was wrong.
A storm is brewing between the IOPC and Met police. and the Met need to stamp their foot on the IOPC nonsense affecting policing currently. Officers charged with assault, whilst making an arrest. Really? I mean. Really. The IOPC a need to wind their necks in.
Drive off
Blacked out windows
Fail to stop
Lack of co operation
What are you supposed to think? They’re going to greet you with love or perhaps they’re dangerous.
Baton drawn to break windscreen if necessary.
@Protect_ServeUK
If you get served with a notice to identify who was driving a car registered to you at the time of an offence being committed, you have two choices. You co-operate or you get reported and you go to court as the primary.
So which senior officers authorised sales of police stations in the community? Which backed the degree route? Which backed decentralising training? And which backed defunding Neighbourhood beat teams. Where are these “bright light” leaders now?
Cressida Dick is wrong to apologise. This just goes to show what I’ve feared for three decades. The fear of social unrest leads to “stupid decisions” without dealing with the core issues. Un fucking believable .
Bianca Williams has totally lost it.
She may be upset at other experiences and she began recording before they were stopped.
Then the screaming and upset caused to the child.
No way officers could look through the tinted windows to identify them before the decision to stop.
@Channel4News
@suzanneshine
There is nothing wrong with the system. The details entered into the computer came back to a yorkshire vehicle. The stop was justified. These things happen. Bandwagoning by this incompetent MP is what’s wrong with community relations.
"They're doing a fantastic job and we should give them the respect they deserve."
Matthew Nesbitt, a witness to the stabbing incident in Glasgow city centre has described the Police Scotland response as "incredible" and "brave".

Just to be totally clear, this account was never intended to cause offence to serving or retired officers. It’s always been supportive of genuine and honest policing. I will however continue to take the piss out of stupid people.
For every police officer and staff who has not been mentioned in the new years honours, keep doing your job to the best, and keep protecting the vulnerable. That’s what you do. ECILOP
You want policing to work then increase police numbers, allow proactive stops and make sure you don’t recruit idiots. There will always be a few haters in any job.
You cannot just go and do your own thing as a police officer in your probation. You have to learn the basics of policing. That’s the first point. Discipline.
Clapham Common 2021 was not about the policewomen in charge. Blame is futile. It was about pent up emotion, some left wing hijackers, and a few haters who forgot why they were there in the first place. And the thin blue line. Come what may. They stood.
The thief taker, the nurse that holds a dying persons hand, the fire officer that runs into a burning building, days in day out, these are the recipients of honours. Not the ones who can write a good story.
I do not care if you live in London or out of London. I don’t care about your gender, your ethnicity or whether you have tattoos. What I care about is will you deliver fairly, and are you good at policing.
I can't quite believe what I'm seeing here; a Ukrainian farmer apparently capturing an abandoned Russian 9K33 OSA surface-to-air missile system by simply hooking it up to his tractor and driving away with it.🇺🇦
Let’s have centralised training. With discipline and uniform standards. Let’s have more police stations in the community. Bring back neighbourhood teams. And focus on patrol. And stops. Let’s allow sergeants to manage. Been here or crying wolf? Herbert, Winsor, and Gibbs. Dicks.
You cannot play politics with stop and search. It will cause fucking riots, you twats. Call yourselves leaders. This isn’t leading. It’s a sign you haven’t a clue about policing communities. All you need to do; is apply it within the existing law. And you need officer numbers.
Well, he’s right. Stop changing policing service goal posts. Let victims know what the police will and won’t deal with. Other organisations to step up. Likely. It’s governmental.
@NormanBrennan
Not at all. What she’s saying is she’s sorry they feel that way; but remember the Met have also said the officers did nothing wrong in that stop. Whilst there was no need to apologise, her approach is appeasement. And that’s a part of the problem.
The anti police stories by the media outlets highlight what’s wrong in this society. Big organisations selling strories which cause hate. In this case towards the police. There has to be more control of these white collar rogues. Anti police hate is dangerous and unnecessary.
@peter_faulding
It’s a police investigation. Do your job but talking to the press is unforgivable. End of message. You report to the police. The police deal with the press. It’s called confidentiality.
Ladies and gents, after many many years of taking the “piss” out of the establishment order, some buffoon chiefs, corporate morons, aspiring degree types; and after having “spoofed” a few MP’s and journalists I am finally retiring.
@Ex_arv_sgt
@DawnButlerBrent
Forgive me, she was a passenger in a vehicle. The vehicle was stopped. A Male was driving. She’s incidental. And that stop was in an area with high gang crime. Are we saying no stops to try and prevent Black on Black killings? Or are we saying victims don’t matter?
Wearing medals gets you suspended. Partying at number 10 during lockdown and lying that you actually were pissed and boogied at the party gets you a FPN years on. How does that work. And if you’re PM you remain PM. Plebs. We are.
One officers knee was near the suspects head.
I don’t see the officer kneeling on the suspect.
Or attempting to restrict the suspects breathing.
Media clips can be deceiving but it was all a matter of positioning close to a wall. That’s it.
For me one of the most influential operational twitter police accounts in the last few years. Used wisely,
@DC_ARVSgt
muscles is a gem in Devon and Cornwall.
The arrested person is now behaving like a little puppy on TV. He can’t work or sleep. Really ffs. Did he feel puppy eyed when he assaulted someone in front of the police?
The officer is young. The second one. Well. Civil offence? There’s no excuse for the horrible abuse the resident is giving to the police officer. No excuse. The point has been made. This is a typical police hater.
Why aren’t police leaders calling for a royal commission into pay, terms and conditions, service delivery, and reform. Not change backwards, but reform.
@NorthantsChief
@cider966
The push was so sadly wrong in all manner of ways. This is a big loss to the Met and the job.
She wasn’t to blame for the gang crimes, youth stabbings, or a minority culture in the job.
But she took the fall. Shame on political budget makers and a minority in the job.
Hi, I'm a police commissioner parody. You might know me from some of my greatest hits like:
. Donuts. The cakes are on you.
. Bollocks. Where’s Brandy.
. Direct Entry. My arse.
. Who the fuck promoted that twat.
I would rather the people that sat around the table included those that didn’t represent their own ideology, were competent in social cohesion and honest. Sorry not you Dawn.
In order to make our streets safer we need to design a system that works effectively.
It is time to sit around the table and have that conversation.

As soon as you take police stations out of the community it reinforces the idea of them and us. Sink estates. And sterilised areas. Culture and organisations.
@from_Paddington
@EmWilliamsOU
Stupid stupid media, focussing on private matters in the royal family. FFS focus on respecting a man who has passed away. And leave Harry alone. Let the brothers sort things out. Stop pursuing hate.
I’m not interested in people’s careers, their education or academia. I’m interested in taking weapons off the streets. And protecting kids from murder. And that means a fairer society with opportunity for all.
#degreegate
my arse. There are twats without degrees and twats with degrees. You don’t need a degree to police. You might need good ex soldiers without degrees though. This is a stupid stupid debate.
If chiefs think

#CaseyReview
we have not heard one word of the review. Not one word.
@remmy_308
NCAlT isn’t the answer at all, or even part of the answer. Demote anyone that thinks it is.
Does a degree teach you how not to discriminate? Ethics? The difference between right and wrong. Answer me that?
Or does a degree teach you how to discrimate and actually get away with it?
The degree pushers are talking bollocks. A choice, yes, a necessity. No.
American actor and comedian Eddie Murphy poses with a police officer, January 1985. Murphy is in London for the British premiere of 'Beverly Hills Cop',
This is the time to get behind the current commissioner, not to stab her. Enough of the resign nonsense. If all MP’s suffered like the police. Carlsberg moment.
The ones that investigate, detect and outwit serial killers or aggravated burglary gangs and drug gangs. Why aren’t they on the honours list? These are the real community police expert officers.
@PatsyeStevenson
Hate and activism. You become what you try to challenge. Sorry. Poor tweet from you. Whether you received a settlement or not. Doesn’t mean you did right then or now.
