It’s incredible how the humble concept of the Toronto bodega has vice grip on New York’s public imagination. But that’s Toronto for you—the city that never sleeps.

Millennials are craving Country Living. So we built it for them. For only $950k, they can live out in the country - 2.5 hours from downtown of the nearest city - on a beautiful 0.27 acre ranch with only a few dozen neighbors. Enjoy the peace and quiet of true country

Ford isn't a fiscal conservative — clearly. I would argue he isn't exactly a social conservative either. The best way I can describe the state of governance in this province is ... like the mob, but without the business sense.

Premier Doug Ford, whose government is set to run up Ontario’s debt to half-a-trillion dollars by 2027 insists he’s a “staunch fiscal conservative.” #onpoli

The point of a universal school lunch program is, of course, to ensure that it doesn’t become immediately obvious who is and isn’t getting free meals It *reduces* stigma

Why not give the parents of the families the $800 a year instead. The school lunch program stigmatizes these children and humiliates the parents. If the @liberal_party government hadn't destroyed our economy over the past decade, we wouldn't have this problem.

@fordnation is there some middle ground where we just cancel tickets for your family and for ministers but get to keep the speed cameras in school zones?

And since when are we supposed to have sympathy for speeders anyway? I’ve covered more than a few fatal crashes in which excessive speed was the issue. Every driver who gets a licence knows the rules and the consequences. Driving is a privilege—not a right. @JoshMatlow

Doug Ford is gaslighting you. If you’re trying to obey the law in Toronto and driving by a speed camera up to 10km over, you won’t be fined. This tool should be used to catch people driving near schools at excessive speeds, recklessly endangering our kids. https://t.co/S9kwh42uhs

The constant negativity about this very sweet group of friends (who I’ve watched grow since their first forays on TikTok) is so indicative of how media narratives are warping brains. Toronto is a relatively safe city. Random danger is far less common than targeted incidents.

Americans have questions about geoengineering and contrails. They expect honesty and transparency from their government when seeking answers. For years, people who asked questions in good faith were dismissed, even vilified by the media and their own government. This ends today.

I’m at the TTC board advocating for platform edge doors. Cities around the world already have them. Toronto has a responsibility to prevent tragedies. We also know that trespassing onto the tracks contributes to the delays riders experience and makes the TTC less reliable.
