@RobynUrback Robyn, she’s co-opting a horrific antisemitic act of terror to drive further division and hate towards pro-Palestine demonstrations. It’s evidenced by her choice of example (a term with contested meanings where intent matters) and use of the words “on our streets.” How dare you

Imagine quoting someone calling for the de-normalization of antisemitism, calling it divisive and disgusting, and then acting as if you’re standing up for the Jewish community

Disgusting to see elected officials take advantage of an antisemitic act of mass violence targeting the Jewish community to push more hate for those protesting genocide (some of whom are Jewish, btw). Stand with the Jewish community that is hurting today and stop co-opting their

This is the result of fuelling hate. This is the result of excusing it. This is the result of targeting people simply for celebrating their faith. At least 11 are dead. Countless more injured who will now carry this trauma for life. Our communities around the world are unsafe.

Conservatives can keep playing legislative tricks, but there's a greater risk that it makes them look petty and unserious than there is in actually changing what the public sees as Carney's commitment to pipelines

Conservatives did something similar last Dec. when they used Jagmeet Singh's words to craft a non-confidence motion, basically daring the NDP to vote against it Very cute, but this does not register at all with normal people. Normal people know Carney signed an MOU. That's it
