I went to the prepiest of prep schools in LA in the 80's. There was a group called SOH (Sons of H). At my 40th reunion, I mentioned this to a young Jewish girl who was giving us a tour,+ she pulled me aside, said a similar group had formed this past year.
One of my patients died this morning. Autistic girl. 15. Treated all the pain she endured with drugs and alcohol. Be kind, people. They really need our support. I'm broken today.

Amazes me how this myth doesn't die. Carbs on their own are not particularly palatable. Add fat, salt, two substances food companies have been intentionally increasing to induce palatability, and then you have a problem.
At the very least at this point, low carb fanatics could at least admit that, if there are any metabolic advantages to low carb, they're tiny; otherwise they wouldn't have to go through such lengths to prove their (invalid) points.

When my eldest, now a college student, was preverbal, she would flip though a set of tiny books with images in them. She would invariably land on an image of an ice cream cone and look over at me, always with a sneaky look of surprise that she'd found it.

I think this sounds right. I can't think of any biological differences be/ lions and me. I'm going to hunt the neighbors' pets, eat them raw, and sleep 20 hours a day.
Meet the lion

- The lion does not eat any of the fruits or plants all around him.
- The lion eats just meat and succeeds because of it.

As someone who does this for a living and sees other reports of kids who come in my office, I can tell you there are a lot of people who just don't get it. Some days I feel as if I'm on a hidden camera show, the symptoms are so obvious.
The Sun does not cause skin cancer.
Skin cells built of inferior fats (omega-6 rich seed oils) are more susceptible to cancer & aging.
Build your skin cells out of the animal fats they are meant to contain and play in the sun!

I was eating 1/2 c. of oatmeal, green veggies, low fat Greek yogurt, fruit, cut out a ton of sugar, drinking mostly water or tea or black coffee, moderate lean protein, walking/jogging/weight lifting 2hrs/day 5x/wk, STILL not losing weight (20+lbs overweight).
It's all a lie.
