Okay. I thought about it. This is the best I can do in a tent in the rain just outside Alkmaar after 1 am on an iPhone. TL;DR - CICO is the sole driver of mass change once fluid changes equilibrate. Why? Here is why: Energy has two exit lanes but only one entrance lane. Bond.

Every 4th of July people wonder how it’s possible that folks get their fingers blown off by fireworks. I still wonder how folks still believe:. 1. Carbs cause obesity. 2. Regular sodas are better for you than diet sodas. 3. Starvation mode exists.

Calories aren’t real?. Tell that to the bomb calorimeter. Or to the bullet that definitely doesn’t have kinetic energy. Or to your adipocytes, which frankly don’t care about your semantic crisis.

This is one way. Another is to take up a high-friction diet and weave it into your identity. The bright red lines created by the rules, the skipped snacks because nothing suitable was available, and the new sense of purpose (and moral superiority) will make you cut calories.

If you are obese and sedentary, then it is extremely important that you count your calories and macros to ensure you are always in a caloric deficit. Your glycogen and fat stores are full, meaning if you don’t track your calories you will continue to gain fat because your body.

6/.CICO isn’t a diet plan. It’s not a theory. It’s a constraint — like gravity. Hormones, macros, meal timing, cravings - they all matter. But none of them exempt you from physics.
