@mformorphine I get it & appreciate what you do, I'm just surprised. Not an expert on the UK specifically but the ML position in general is one vanguard party based on democratic centralism, like CPGB-ML. RS21 is a trotskyist org, as far as I can tell

laughable misreading of Your Party, which is also trying to be pragmatic and is just really, embarrassingly bad at it
"[Polanski's Green Party] feels like pragmatic socialism, whereas what Your Party is doing is this hyper-utopian socialism..." Is this the REAL difference between Your Party and Zack Polanski's Greens?

At TWT this year it was basically all zoomers and younger millenials, and the political level of discussion was the highest I've ever experienced at such an event, largely unified in outlook too. I don't think we're "too young" for politics. We ought to be taking the reins.
One way of understanding the entire Your Party thing is as a generational conflict between boomers who won't let go, a Millennial / Zoomer who's too young, and a group of middle aged leftists (Feinstein, Driscoll, Winter) who would make superb leaders if anyone would let them.

NATO means Trump’s troops are here, ready to back up a coup against a government which disagrees with him. It allows US spy agencies to completely infiltrate UK politics: Labour hasn’t had a government that has said no to sending troops to fight a US war since Wilson in the 60s.

A socialist Your Party needs to distinguish between programmatic/ strategic demands (what it would look like for a socialist party to take power) and agitational/ tactical demands (how do we speak to people's needs now).

@JimMonaghan10 Both factions (or all factions if there are more than 2) should start being honest with the membership. Until at least one of them does, I am absolutely not going to take sides between them. But I think it's probably too late anyway

my best read of things is that this is essentially MOU washing their hands of the matter, handing over their assets to Zarah (since she's the only one who actually engaged with them), and now it will just turn into a straight faction fight between Zarah vs the other YP directors
