Well I guess I'm just going to need to get better at keeping all my python packages playing nicely together. no worries I'd gotten too lazy. @anacondainc terms and conditions aren't playing so nicely with academic insitutions it seems.

Anyone been using the large (e.g. 20 mm) @Thorlabs galvos and can comment on flatness? . Any better options for a large aperture 1D scanner with high flatness? Can sacrifice some speed. no problem.

Delighted to have this finally out with @nicola_gritti and @huiskenlab. IR light sheet provides better deep tissue contrast in fixed samples. Deep learning allows fixed (IR) data quality in live (GFP) samples.

Delighted to see this in pre-print form! A lot of blood and sweat went into this one; NIR light-sheet-images as ground truth to restore image contrast at depth in paired GFP-based live imaging data:.

We’ve joined the #OPM community! Our latest preprint describes an open-top, dual-objective OPM optimized for ‘mesoscopic’ FOVs >1.5mm that’s capable of imaging behaving Nematostella with cellular resolution. Great collaboration with @AissamIkmi @embl .

Any good Python tutorials suited to instrument (microscope) control out there? Slowly getting myself round to the idea. GUI development/concurrent tasks/device interfacing etc.

Yes, I know the fibers are convenient, keeping the beams co-aligned, easy to remove laser from system without misaligning etc. The fiber engines are pretty spendy though and the variable fiber NA with wavelength causes some issues.

Thinking through some laser options for fluorescence microscopes. I always gravitated towards laser engines and fiber launch but start to see some benefits of individual units and free-space. What's your preference?.
