Before the NHS much of our healthcare was dependent on charities. The fundraising might be digital, but this is another step back to the Victorian era. Sign here if you agree we need change https://t.co/NHAvjywuex

Malls today are a peak example of why we have every right to be nostalgic for the past. We used to interact with people. No wonder society is so lonely. We order food alone, rent movies alone, shop alone. We catch up with friends alone. It’s just us and our phones and that sucks.

Why are Labour pushing Digital ID so hard?? Nobody wants it. We will not comply with it. They need to drop it.

The cruelty is the point. If they actually cared about the cost to taxpayers, they'd be much more concerned about tax avoidance and evasion, which costs more than four times this. Twenty odd billion in benefits go unclaimed every year. It's all horseshit.

I forced the Government to reveal the facts on Motability. It cost taxpayers £3 billion this year alone. We have a plan to fix this. Watch below👇

Just so everyone is clear what happened here; Waitrose, a company that makes many millions in profits, was happy to let this young man work in their stores for several years without being paid. The moment that he asks to be paid for his time, they refuse to let him come back.

It's not ok to expect people with Learning Disabilities or Autism to work for free. Tom has clocked up over 900 hours working for @waitrose unpaid. When his family asked for him to be paid they stopped his shifts. Don't we have laws about this?!

Ash Sarkar wins over Matthew Syed re taxing billionaires. Syed says Billionaires would leave if we taxed them more. Sarkar says if they do, they can’t take property with them. If they sell, people won’t have to compete with them for property. Syed “Well, that’s true.” #bbcqt

We’re in the second Gilded Age just like the first — when America’s wealth was in the hands of a few, money corrupted politics, and working people were abused and exploited. It can be easy to feel discouraged, but the first Gilded Age teaches us lessons on how we can fight back.

They WANT to feel proud and feel they matter Neoliberals stripped these towns of their industries and identity & then sneered at them as lazy and blamed them for their poverty The flags is an expression of wanting to belong We need to rebuild towns with major investment

I visited Grimsby yesterday, by most measures it's a very poor town. Flags are everywhere; it still strikes me as bizarre how those who have done least well out of living in the UK seem to be most proud of it - or at least proud of our flags.

It wasn’t socialism that bankrupted Britain, it was Patrick Minford economics. The Tory fantasy that selling everything off would make us rich hollowed out our industry, spiked inequality, and left us paying foreign firms for our own essentials. They sold our assets, cut

Matthew Syed blames Britain’s decline on “20 years of socialism”. Strange, I must’ve missed all the public housing, strong unions, wealth taxes and free childcare. What we’ve really had is 20 years of crony capitalism dressed up as reform.
