Thank you to the 1,238 residents of Harpenden North and Rural who were kind and brave enough to vote for me as a Town Councillor in this week’s local elections.
I’ll do my very best to serve this amazing community over the next four years.

This evening I attended my first Harpenden Annual Town Meeting meeting as a Town Councillor
It was great to the the flag of the Council of Europe restored to its rightful place in the Park Hall
The deep ties between Harpenden and Europe remain as strong as ever

I was born in an NHS Hospital.
My children were delivered by NHS Midwives.
My parents spent their final weeks in the care of the NHS.
I will always be grateful to the NHS and the wonderful professionals who care for our country.

My 14 year old son agreed to come for brunch with me today and was followed by a walk home through the park. He spent the whole time chatting about school, friends, his future hopes. I could never tell him, but it's probably been one of the best hours of my life.

Please stop blaming “the botched deal” … let’s be honest.
It’s Brexit itself. We knew these delays would happen. That’s why we campaigned against Brexit.
And that’s why the LibDems need to regain their courage and honesty and start campaigning to Rejoin.
